Meet Our Care Managers

Patti Cox, LPN

Patti Cox has been in healthcare as long as she can remember. She began her nursing career as a young volunteer candy striper at Alexian Brothers Hospital in the 1980’s. This is where she discovered her love for working with the most vulnerable, the elderly and disabled.

Patti attended St. Louis Community College at Forest Park and became a Licensed Professional Nurse. In her 25+ year career, she began at the bedside then transitioned into Home Health where she has been to this day. She has worked in absolutely every capacity since her early days – volunteer, caregiver, nurse, case manager, clinical manager, and administrator.

She has a great sense of empathy with her clients and their loved ones, drawn from her many years working with those in crisis. Patti personally cared for her own parents at their end-of-life after long illnesses, which gives her a unique and relatable perspective. Her approach with those she serves is always the client and decision-maker first, which gives them the confidence needed to move forward with care decisions.

Patti is also very involved in charitable work. This includes her yearly fund-raising campaign, The Gifted Christmas, which provides holiday joy to a struggling family and her monthly campaign called Nancy’s Nudge, which gives love, hugs, and a bit of pampering for someone who is suffering. Patti is on the board at Families In The Middle, a 501(c) organization which focuses on assisting children and their parents during times of loss or displacement. Patti has been married for 25 years and has two sons, one in high school and one in college. In her spare time, she loves to cook, read, and take long walks with her dog.
