Hildy Steiner, BSW

Hildy has been a social worker for over 20 years, primarily specializing in the area of mental health. After receiving her BSW from the University of Missouri, Columbia, she worked with the Division of Family Services and the Guardian Ad Litem project in North Carolina. Later, she served individuals with developmental disabilities through the NC Dept. of Vocational Rehabilitation. After returning to St. Louis, she worked as a Senior Case Manager with the Missouri Dept. of Mental Health, serving individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness.

As an Employee Development Coordinator with Canterbury Enterprises, a pre-employment workshop for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, she honed her skills as a social worker and then moved to assisting an area elder law attorney with community relations. Although she has worked with children, teenagers, and young adults, she has focused on assisting aging adults in accessing community resources. Ensuring health and safety, while sustaining enrichment in all areas of an individual’s daily life is of paramount importance to Hildy.
