Julia Covilli has had a diverse background of work experiences exposing her to a variety of populations. She has worked in a retirement community where she developed her endearment for older adults. Julia worked with youth with developmental disorders and it was here she learned how to advocate for and support that population. Julia worked as a researcher for St. Louis University on a study focusing on substance use reduction with veterans at Jefferson Barracks VA. Additionally, she has experience as a substance use counselor, held positions at a residential community for adults with developmental disorders and a play therapy center for children. Currently, Julia sees clients at West County Psychological Associates providing therapy services to a range of individuals in addition to providing care management services in her role with Care Choice.
Julia earned her bachelors and masters degree in developmental psychology from the University of Maine through a specialized dual program. Once in St. Louis Julia entered the Washington University Brown School social work program.
Julia enjoys trying new, eccentric activities whenever possible. She competed on her high school step team, participated in lumberjack competitions at the University of Maine, and has started gymnastics for the first time this year. If you want to find Julia in her free time, look for a kitchen because she enjoys baking challenging recipes for friends and family and teaching cooking classes at the residential community for adults with developmental disabilities.
